The Groovy Helpline? I barely know line!
Groovy Helpline logo The Josh Line

Have you ever listened to the Helpline and wondered what the Josh line is whenever we mention it? You've come to the right place.

Have you ever seen a baseball? That makes sense, you probably haven't. You listen to the Groovy Helpline, so you probably don't watch sports. But even if you have looked at baseball, you probably don't know who Mendoza is. That's because Mendoza was bad at baseball. Firstname Mendoza is famed for being a below average player, and so when a player is bad at baseball and have bad stats, they are considered below the Mendoza Line - the minimum standard for being okay at baseball. The same goes for radio. Josh is a frequent guest on the Helpline, appearing on the Irresponsiblity Special most notably, but making numerous appearances in the pre-podcast era. He, typically, is a loud and unique guest who brings down the standard of radio that he is featuring on. So, our minimum standard of quality is called the Josh Line, as he often brings us below it. If you're above the Josh Line, you're hosting a good radio show. If you're below the Josh Line....

The most recent show was ABOVE the Josh Line. Last show below the line: The Double Date Special // 31/12/24 (unreleased).
